Ollie joined our family in February 2007. After waiting several weeks for “warm” weather, Ollie made the trip to New York. He fit right in and is loved by everyone that meets him.
We knew we wanted a Cavalier, but due to the shedding and our allergies, it was not an option. Ollie has the personality and face of a Cavalier, but the non-shedding aspects of a poodle. Perfect! We brush him frequently and he is groomed about once a month (although it probably does not need to be that often). Ollie is full-grown at 12 pounds.
Ollie is the definition of a lap dog.
He is so wonderful with children and adults.
He rarely barks and loves to run laps and
chase toys. Also, he will play tug-of-war
with any willing participant (dog or human).
I recently had a baby, and our son and Ollie get along very well. Ollie lets the baby pet him (if that’s what you call pulling his hair) and is always “right there” when we are playing. He even tries to get the baby to play fetch!
Additionally, Ollie travels a lot. We take him by car, plane, and train and he always does wonderful. He stays in hotels wherever we go and has never been a problem. (He loves to run the hallways!) Other people are always amazed by how well mannered and nice he is.
We are so happy with Ollie – he is just as Glenn described and a wonderful addition to our family!
